NEVER PUSH OR ATTEMPT TO ASSIST STRANDED ANIMALS BACK TO THE WATER! More harm can be done and it is illegal without proper permits.

2013: Nest #19

Nest 19 was found east of Alys Beach. Someone had drawn a big circle in the sand around the nest so there were likely spectators. While Turtle Watch appreciates the effort that some people make in marking a nest for us, it is not necessary. Sometimes this kind of activity creates problems for Turtle Watch.

Nest #19
another nest that stood in water for to long a period.
our miracle live hatchling was just coming out of an egg
all other of the 117 eggs had no development
We hope this hatchling was a girl and she will be back on Walton County Beaches one day
