Nest #44 she came in threw some sand went farther north and nested and then took aover 310 to get back to the water because of the lights.

For the looks of it just before morning, what a mess, with all the lights in the west end. No condo has complied with lighting ordinance. This nest was west of Pompano Joes, they came out of the nest OK but then went either east or west for over 12 mile each way, up and down and up and down, all around the many boxes, under Kayaks, under walkover’s, under condo’s, up onto walkovers, what a mess, we only found one hatchling alive, and I saw a fisherman putting
two hatchlings in the water. When will Walton County enforce their 3 year old lighting ordinance. I wish some Walton County employees were with me to hunt up and down the beach and watch the fisherman grab a hatchling away from a sea gull and see where ghost crabs had pulled hatchlings
down their holes. Ugh.

one other hatchling came out last night but was picked off by sea gulls as we could see by the tracks, so sad to have a great nest and then the lights.
