Walkers examine where a sea turtle came up in Inlet Beach to lay her eggs at nest 12. For the second day in a row the sea turtle that nested in this area walked about 600 feet to the east while attempting to return to the water. It was determined both were being drawn away from the water by a light mounted on a pole that was shining onto the beach.
UPDATE!!
Nest #12 has been dug at 80 days, and all 138 eggs had no development… This nest was in a very wet area and the water had eroded about 6 inches
